This component seeks to contribute towards the promotion
and protection of the rights of rural women(including
girls) by providing them access to information on their
social protection, reproductive rights and access to
greater choices on reproductive health without
compulsion or coercion and through informed
choices. Equipped with understanding of their
reproductive rights, the husband and wife
shall be enabled to make informed choices and
decisions with regard to quality life.
This component shall advocate for an enhanced policy
environment that supports gender responsive and rights
based reproductive health and social protection not only
in the national arena but as well at the level of the
local government units ( LGUs) particularly in the
CALABARZON areas
It hopes that through education and advocacy efforts,
CALABARZON MFIs would take affirmative action to pilot
social protection schemes addressing the conditions of
vulnerabilities of the disadvantaged women in the
informal economy within their areas of operations.
