We Are Women with a Voice is an educational and advocacy documentary film towards the promotion and generation of support for the Work of WISE ACT
[1]. WISE ACT is a non-stock, non-profit organization that supports initiatives of women in their livelihood activities through skills enhancement, product development, linkage to market and upgrading of technology.
[2] It also facilitates gender mainstreaming in institutions through its projects and programs.
The video production's strategy would be to show the work of WISE Act through the people whose lives were affected by its programs. The main thread of the story would be the testimonies of individual women of their experiences and their roles in their community organizations.
Five organizations were selected in the filming of this documentary. Kababaihang May Tinig or KATIG is located at Calubcob 2nd , San Juan , Batangas. Samahan ng Patubig sa Paang Bundok or SPPB is based at Sitio Paang Bundok, Brgy. San Celestino, Lipa City , Batangas. Gender Animators and Facilitators or GADAF is a pool of trainers from Rosario, Batangas. Alay Kapwa is a community organization from Brgy. Sampaloc 2 in Sariaya, Quezon. ZOTO is an urban poor organization in Dagat-dagatan, Navotas, and Metro Manila.
It is now WISE Act's turn to show the lives of women who have made a difference and have found their voices. It is in this light that WISE Act shares this documentary with the general public
