Partnership with WRB |
|
| As part of the partnership with the Women's Rural Bank, the Gender Advocacy and Partnership Building of WISE Act invited six doctors from the University of the Philippines-Philippine General Hospital (UP-PGH) Manila . The medical mission was conducted last March 17 at the bank's first branch in Sta. Teresita, Batangas. 143 patients were served. Among them were 13 men; 67 women; 27 girl children and 36 boy children. The next medical mission will be on the last Saturday of May 2007. |

2. Basic Orientation on Gender Sensitivity |

GAPB conducted a Basic Orientation on Gender Sensitivity (BOGS) last March 28, 2007 in Villa San Jose, Maraouy, Lipa City and April 24 in Calaca, Batangas. Forty three women participated in the training in Marauoy. Ten of them are potential trainer leaders according to GAPB |

Two consultation meetings were held in SPPB and training needs assessment with leaders of SPPB last Feb. 07 2007 and Feb. 21, 2007. |

2. GADAF (Gender and Development Animator and Facilitator) (what is GADAF?)
Three (3) members of GADAF assisted and facilitated the basic orientation of gender (BOGs) last March 28, 2007 at Brgy. Bulihan, Rosario .
From February to March 07, a series of meeting, workshop, consultation and Pharmacy Training were conducted together with GADAF in preparation for the Botika Social Enterprise Development. (What is the Botika all about? ) |
